What You'll Need
1. The Proper Technology
-
1 desktop or laptop with Microsoft Teams downloaded, a tablet (iPad, Fire tablet, or Android) and a Stylus (Apple pen or other Stylus).
-
Is your device charged and/or plugged in?
-
Is your internet connection running smoothly?
-
Does your Zoom microphone work?
-
Is the microphone sensitivity too high or does your microphone sound like a robot?
-
What about your webcam?
TIP: It is always a good idea to sign on for class a few minutes early. That gives you time to have everything loaded and troubleshoot anything that does not appear to be working properly.
2. Prepare Your Learning Environment
Below are some useful items to keep close by:
-
Note-taking paper
-
Writing utensils such as pens and pencils
-
Coloring materials like markers, crayons, or colored pencils
-
Highlighter
-
Calculator
-
Ruler
-
Snack and water bottle
TIP: When it comes to virtual learning, students will need a study area that is comfortable and has sufficient lighting. It's also beneficial to have a space free from external interruptions to maintain focus and motivation while studying.
3. Talk to Your Teachers
Remember, this is a team effort! Connect with your day teacher to identify areas for improvement. Send an email with your Math N' More instructor included. Open communication will help us all work together for your 'mathemagical' success!
